2023 Chevrolet Silverado ZR2 Bison in Bellefontaine, OH
Steve Austin’s Auto Group wants you to be one of the first people in Bellefontaine, Ohio, to own the 2023 Chevrolet Silverado ZR2 Bison. This new high-performance version of the Silverado 1500 ZR2 is outfitted with top-notch off-roading upgrades from aftermarket manufacturer American Expedition Vehicles. Here’s a look at what makes the Silverado ZR2 Bison a must-have truck for adventurous outdoor enthusiasts in Logan County.
Exclusive AEV upgrades
You’ll find a lot of stellar performance and style enhancements on the Silverado ZR2 Bison that formerly were only available as aftermarket installations. This special-edition Silverado features premium accessories and parts made by AEV to improve its off-roading capabilities. These include steel underside plates, unique bumpers, and exclusive wheels.
Ready for rocky terrain
Your overlanding possibilities are expanded when you drive the Silverado ZR2 Bison. The Bison uses the same off-road chassis setup that’s found on the existing ZR2. This configuration bears the same Multimatic DSSV ™ dampers, enhanced suspension travel, front/rear electronic locking differentials, and tuned suspension calibration but with some noteworthy bonuses. Its lifted suspension and elevated height allow the truck to overcome steeper inclines thanks to its augmented approach angle.
The truck uses high-durability AEV stamped steel panels to cover the underbody and form the bumpers. This 3mm press-hardened steel is used for the skid plates, giving protection three times as resilient as normal steel plates. The result is extra protection for crucial underside components and systems like the fuel tank.
Rugged good looks
The 2023 Chevrolet Silverado ZR2 Bison is designed for off-road excursions, and its rugged appearance clearly looks the part. The exclusive gloss-black 18-inch wheels are real eye-catchers, especially since they’re wrapped in massive, high-tread 33-inch Goodyear Wrangler Territory MT tires and crowned by ZR2-exclusive wheel flares.
These four wheels provide the foundation for the rest of the truck’s blacked-out visual elements, which include the front bumper, dark chrome grille, door handles, tow hooks, Multi-Flex™ tailgate, and even the bowtie badge. Dual-outlet exhaust pipes are subtly hidden near the rear bumper. As you’d expect, the AEV badge and Bison logo are stamped throughout the truck, proudly flaunting its special status.
The ZR2 Bison offers the same exterior paint color options as the 2023 ZR2, meaning you can coat it in hues like Summit White, Dark Ash Metallic, or Sand Dune Metallic. Any color matches or contrasts well with the black accents that the ZR2 Bison package adds.
Power that begs to be unleashed
Under the hood of the Silverado ZR2 Bison is the same engine that powers the basic Silverado ZR2: a 6.2-liter V8 engine. This hearty powertrain churns out a no-nonsense 420 horsepower and 460 lb-ft of torque, giving you the muscle to launch over thick mud and steep pits with ease. Its enhanced two-speed transfer case with Terrain Mode allows you to unlock the truck’s optimal settings given the terrain you’re conquering. The 10-speed automatic transmission shifts with ease at whatever speed you’re traveling.
The Chevy Safety Assist system offers an array of camera angles so you can monitor your surroundings when you’re exploring new grounds and leaving the known world behind. Afterward, find your way back to civilization and paved roads by using the navigation system available on the 13.4-inch touch-screen infotainment system, with directions conveniently displayed on the 12.3-inch Driver Information Center dashboard screen.
