Preview: 2025 Chevrolet Suburban & 2025 Chevrolet Tahoe | Bellefontaine, OH
As the two largest SUVs in the Chevrolet lineup, the Suburban and Tahoe are often go-to vehicles for families on the go. Whether you need tons of space for people and things, an outstanding amount of power for towing, a cabin that’s packed with amenities, or safety systems that give you added peace of mind, these refreshed models should certainly meet your demands.
Refreshed exterior features
There are plenty of changes for the 2025 Suburban and 2025 Tahoe. Right off the bat, you’ll notice a fresh look for the large SUVs featuring new 24-inch wheel designs, front and rear lighting upgrades, and two new exterior colors: Lakeshore Blue Metallic and Cypress Gray. The Z71 trim comes with adventure-ready amenities like skid plates and a high-approach front fascia while the luxury High Country trim features Galvano chrome trim.
Elevated interior features
Inside, both Chevy SUVs have been upgraded visually and with advanced technology. Interior highlights include a new steering wheel design, available Piano Black and Galvano chrome accents, authentic wood décor, and Victory Red stitching on RST models. The redesigned center console has a handful of new storage options and the wireless charging pad has been repositioned for more convenience and easy access.
Improved safety technology
You can rest easy thanks to a collection of safety upgrades that are coming to the latest Tahoe and Suburban models. When the vehicle is parked and turned off, Interior Motion Detection can alert you if it senses movements within the cabin. Similarly, Connected Cameras give you a live look inside the cabin and of the SUV’s exterior (360 degrees of visibility).
Chevy Safety Assist will continue to be standard on these SUVs and includes helpful features like Front Pedestrian and Bicyclist Braking, IntelliBeam®, Enhanced Automatic Emergency Braking, and more. For even more convenience, consider adding the available Super Cruise™ technology, which is available on over 400,000 miles of roads in the U.S. and Canada.
Upgraded performance
These large Chevy SUVs are known for providing exceptional power, letting you tow all kinds of things on your weekend adventures with the family. For 2025, Chevy has introduced an available second-generation 3.0-liter inline-six turbo-diesel Duramax™ engine. This new engine option gets up to 305 horsepower and 495 lb-ft of torque, which are increases of 10 and 7.6 percent, respectively.
The standard engine on the new Suburban and Tahoe, however, is a robust 5.3-liter V8 while a 6.2-liter V8 is what you’ll find on the top High Country trim.
In addition to pure power, these Chevy SUVs will also offer available performance upgrades like an Air Ride Adaptive Suspension that has automatic ride-height adjustment and load-leveling as well as Magnetic Ride Control that uses sensors to provide a smoother ride.
Smart trailering tech
We know how important towing is for Suburban and Tahoe drivers, and so does Chevy. That’s why the bowtie brand has the Max Trailering package available for select trims. This suite includes things like Hitch View, Blind Zone Steering Assist with Trailer, and the Chevrolet Trailering App, to name just a few.
In addition to this optional package, a bevy of new features will also be available:
- Trailer Navigation.
- Mobile Trailering App Load Rating Info.
- Forward Path Indication.
- Boat Ramp Assist.
- Trailer Tire Health.
The size and space you expect
Both the Tahoe and Suburban have room for up to eight people, so you’ll have plenty of room for everyone and their friends to tag along. The cabin also offers exceptional utility, letting you put both rear rows of seating down to haul all sorts of items and gear.
