2024 Chevrolet Silverado EV in Bellefontaine, OH

The 2024 Chevrolet Silverado EV is a far cry from the old stereotype of underpowered electric vehicles. The full-electric Silverado offers groundbreaking capability, fast charging, and a wealth of convenient features made possible by EV architecture. Here’s a glimpse into the future of electrified pickup trucks.

Power and Capability

The 2024 Chevrolet Silverado EV delivers plenty of power, even at the base trim level. The entry-level WT model unleashes 510 horsepower and 615 lb-ft of torque. To see how that stacks up against the combustion-engine model, the 2022 Chevrolet Silverado LTD WT offers up to 355 horsepower and 383 lb-ft of torque when powered by the available 5.3-liter EcoTec3 V8 engine.

This all-electric pickup puts that power to good use. The standard Silverado EV provides up to 8,000 pounds of towing capability and up to 1,200 pounds of payload capacity when properly equipped. But if you’re looking for even more power, you’ll be able to equip your Silverado with the Max Tow Package, which unlocks up to 20,000 pounds of towing capacity.

You can also raise the bar by upgrading to the RST First Edition model, which offers more capability alongside breathtaking performance. This range-topping model features Wide Open Watts Mode. With this mode activated, your Chevrolet Silverado EV can crank out up to 664 horsepower and over 780 lb-ft of torque — and rocket from 0-60 mph in less than 4.5 seconds. Plus, Wide Open Watts Mode enables your Silverado EV to tow up to 10,000 pounds and haul a maximum of 1,300 pounds when properly equipped.

Charging Made Convenient

When you’re behind the wheel of a Silverado EV, you can enjoy both power and efficiency. Both trim levels of the Silverado EV deliver a manufacturer-estimated 400 miles of driving range when fully charged.[1] And when you recharge the Silverado EV’s battery pack, you won’t be waiting for ages. Since every Silverado EV comes equipped with public DC fast charging compatibility, your truck will be able to regain an estimated 100 miles of range in just 10 minutes of charging.

Once your Silverado EV is charged, it’s easy to keep it going strong thanks to the Energy Assist feature. Located in the myChevrolet Mobile App, Energy Assist lets you design the most energy-saving route for your drive. And on the RST model, you’ll be able to view the Ultium Charge 360 network, so you can take the hassle out of finding charging stations.

In addition to its power and efficiency, the Silverado EV’s battery pack is good for more than just powering your drive — it can also power up to 10 outlets with the available power bar accessory. It provides up to 10.2 kilowatts of electricity, so you’ll be able to power everything from home appliances to power tools. It can even recharge another EV.

Style and Comfort

While the Silverado EV shares design cues with the combustion-engine Silverado, the new EV isn’t just a standard Silverado with a battery pack in place of an engine. Instead, it was designed from the ground up to be fully electric. Built upon the new GM Ultium platform, the Silverado EV was optimized to offer more storage room, an updated design, and greater versatility.

The new Ultium platform enables the Silverado EV to sport a new look. This all-electric truck boasts an aggressive stance, a new front end, and better downvision. In addition to giving the truck a more athletic look, these updates also improve its aerodynamics.

You’ll also enjoy a bit of extra storage space with your Silverado EV. Instead of packing an engine under the hood, the Silverado EV offers an eTrunk. Inside this weatherproof, lockable storage area, you’ll have enough room to store a large suitcase.

But there isn’t just more room for stuff — the new Ultium architecture allows people to stretch out and enjoy the ride. In fact, the new Silverado EV offers more legroom when compared to combustion-engine models, so even the tallest passengers won’t feel cramped.

When the Silverado EV arrives, you’ll be able to find it right here at Steve Austin’s Auto Group in Belefontaine, Ohio. Until then, you can check out our Silverado inventory or contact us to learn more about this exciting electric truck.
