2024 GMC Canyon in Bellefontaine, OH
Whether you’re looking for your first truck or you just enjoy what GMC has to offer, the 2024 Canyon is a great truck with plenty of power, technology, and premium features.
The 2024 GMC Canyon is available at four trim levels: Elevation, AT4, AT4X, and Denali.
Power and capability
Under the hood of the new GMC Canyon is a TurboMax™ engine that gets an impressive 310 horsepower and a best-in-class standard gas engine torque rating of 430 lb-ft. This engine is paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission for smooth shifting, even on the toughest hills. Every model is also equipped with an off-road suspension with a 2-inch factory lift to make exploring the outdoors a breeze.
But if you desire even more capability with your Canyon, consider upgrading to the AT4 or AT4X trims. The AT4, specifically, adds Advanced Hill Descent Control to its off-road suspension and can be outfitted with available off-road MT tires. The Drive Mode Selector includes Normal, Terrain, Off-Road, and Tow/Haul modes to suit your needs.
The Canyon AT4X takes performance even further with up to 10 available camera views that help you travel along the trails, including the segment-first underbody cameras that feature front- and rear-facing views under the truck. You’ll also skip the bumps thanks to the Multimatic™ DSSV dampers and the AT4X-exclusive Baja drive mode that allow for high-speed, off-road driving and rock crawling.
Technology
No matter where you’re headed in the 2024 Canyon, you’re sure to stay connected and entertained along the way. The cabin features the class-leading 11-inch diagonal driver information center behind the steering wheel as well as an 11.3-inch infotainment touch screen.
With standard wireless Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™, you can easily connect your smartphone and use your favorite compatible apps on the touch-screen display. Additional standard tech includes GMC Connected Access capability, a Wi-Fi® hotspot, front and rear USB ports, and an HD rear vision camera.
When you move up to higher trims, like the Canyon AT4X and Canyon Denali, you’ll have even more advanced technology. These two models feature a seven-speaker Bose® premium audio system, HD Surround Vision, and wireless charging.
Exterior design
For 2024, the GMC Canyon retains its muscular overall shape with fine-tuned design elements from front to back. The wide stance of the truck is highlighted by black wheel arch moldings and 18-inch all-terrain blackwall tires. On all trims except Denali, you can even add a 40-inch off-road roof light bar that shows everyone you mean business and so you’ll be able to see everything on the trails as the sun goes down.
The exterior is also quite functional. In the back is the first-in-class available integrated tailgate storage system with a drain for easy cleaning. The versatile cargo bed is durable and lets you manage your gear however you want.
Canyon Denali models go beyond the norm with exterior flair. On this high-end trim, you’ll find exclusive elements like 5-inch chrome rectangular assist steps, 20-inch diamond cut dark grey aluminum wheels, chrome door handles and mirror caps, and a spray-on bedliner.
Features
Power, technology, and style are not all that the new Canyon has to offer. This small truck goes big with other useful standard and available features like a heated, eight-way power driver’s seat with power lumbar support; OnStar® connected services; Teen Driver; dual-zone automatic climate control; remote start; all-weather floor mats; and so much more.
There are also smart safety features that come standard on the GMC Canyon, including:
